Thermapen IR Blue combines the unparalleled speed and accuracy of a Classic Thermapen with the versatility of an instrument-grade infrared sensor with Bluetooth technology. Why carry two different thermometers when you can just carry the Thermapen IR?

View both infrared and penetration probe readings from either hand in any position with Thermapen IR's patented 360° auto-rotating display. Close the probe when you're done and it powers off for storage. Each unit ships with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate for both the probe and infrared so you know it's accurate.

Thermapen IR is a must-have, versatile tool for restaurants, health inspectors, manufacturing, laboratory, and more.

Infrared thermometer
Take non-contact infrared readings from virtually any surface with Thermapen IR Blue's precision infrared circuitry. Simply aim the infrared end of the thermometer at the target and press the Scan button to display the surface temperature, accurate to within ±1.8°F (±1.0°C).

The Thermapen IR Blue thermometer incorporates a Max/Min reading feature accessed through the Mode button (IR only). The distance-to-target ratio is 5:1, so the thermometer should be positioned as close to the target as possible. The default emissivity is 0.95, but can be adjusted between 0.1 and 1.0 as needed through the Mode button.

Please Note: Because the unit needs an opening to allow infrared wavelengths to fall upon the infrared sensor inside the housing, the Thermapen IR Blue does not have the same Splash-Proof rating that other Thermapen's have and should be kept away from splashes and spills.

Penetration probe
Incorporating the Thermapen Super-Fast® thermocouple technology, penetration measurements come to a reading accurate to ±0.7°F (±0.4°C) within just 2-3 seconds. The probe conveniently folds back into the side of the instrument for safe storage when not in use.

Thermapen IR Blue comes with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate confirming the accuracy of both sensors.

What is Biomaster?
Biomaster is a silver-based antimicrobial additive that is molded directly into the plastic housing that becomes an integral part of the product to prevent bacteria growth on its surface. The controlled release of the active ingredient provides maximum antimicrobial protection for the life of the product. When bacteria come into contact with a Biomaster protected surface, the silver ions prevent them from growing, producing energy or replicating, therefore they die, inhibiting degradation, discoloration or odors.
